Upon its rejection by Masahiro, his Shadow Self morphs into a two-bodied monster that tries to eliminate him and anyone who tries to defend him from accepting the truth
Shadow Masahiro's form is split into to bodies, the first is an owl-headed humanoid that is perched on the second, a wolf-headed hulk wielding a large hammer; the two are chained together as a brain or body is useless on its own and the two operating in unison are a necessity for them both to survive

The smaller creature represents the knowledge Masahiro possesses, with the owl head and long grey beard symbolising wisdom, but it is chained to the behemoth just like Masa keeps his dreams of furthering his knowledge in chains in order to follow the peer pressure and be a great sportsman like his father; in spite of its competance with the use of magic, it is the more fragile of the two as a brain can be a powerful thing when used to solve problems, but can easily be crushed underfoot without a body to protect it

The larger creature represents Masa's physical capabilities, with the wolf head symbolising bravery, but its muzzle is belted shut as Masa is too scared to speak up against being compared to his father in case he disappoints anyone and the mallet it wields is based off a judge's gavel as those who tell him what he should do have judged that he should follow in his father's footsteps; while using magic is of no concern to it, this beast can take a lot of damage and deal it right back with its brute strength, but can easily be manipulated without a brain to comprehend the situation
