The Heartbreaker

This is one of the oldest characters I've been trying to get right (since mid-high school) yet each time, it turns out a bit off
But NOW I've had a try, editing it sligtly from my original idea & I've managed to hopefully get it right this time.


The Heartbreaker is a deceptive creature that takes on the form of a floating collection of giant hearts (similar to a mobile or wind chime) but closer examination reveals it is indeed alive.
After its disguise is seen through, the hearts split to reveal its fleshy body within the central heart, the largest becoming a pair of wings, the two lowest becoming feet & the morphing of a head & tail from the opposing end hearts.

The Heartbreaker simply flies about & divebombs enemies, either scratching at them with its claws or breathing flames from it's mouth while using its large wings to protect its eye from attack while perching, being an obvious enough weak spot. In spite of being prone to violence, the creature is very self-aware & makes sure it can escape from danger whenever it is confronted by a foe should they be tough for it to defeat in its first encounter.


I'm finally glad I could give this a go, it definately turned out better than my original attempts at it
